GetBorn Shipping Policy explains your shipping obligations as a seller and your rights and responsibilities. This policy is a part of our Terms of Use. By using any of GetBorn Services (even just browsing one of our websites or apps), you’re agreeing to the Terms.
This shipping policy helps meet buyer expectations, protect seller performance, reduce defect rates, and increase buyer satisfaction.
Sellers are responsible for packaging and shipping their sold items to buyers. If you're using a shipping or fulfillment service, please keep in mind that you are ultimately responsible for making sure that your buyers receive their orders.
By selling on GetBorn, you agree to:
A. Provide an accurate "ships from" address.
B. Using the Automatic Shipping Cost Calculation Service: GetBorn tracks real-time air freight price fluctuations from DHL to calculate shipping costs between sellers and buyers.
Calculated shipping combines your location, the buyer’s location, and the item’s size and weight to generate shipping costs for orders.
Buyers can preview their shipping costs by entering their address. We default to the least expensive shipping method that is eligible for the total weight and dimensions of the item.
The automatically calculated shipping cost, which is based on weight, distance, and region and such, will be charged additionally to the buyer at the time of payment beyond the artwork price.
If a seller does not use DHL or enters inaccurate artwork specifications or addresses, there may be a discrepancy between the automatically calculated shipping cost and what the seller actually pays for shipping. Please be aware of this potential difference.
C. Specify your shipping processing times in your listings.
D. Ship items promptly after they are sold. Prompt shipping means that you ship each item within 3 days of purchase, unless you specify otherwise in your processing time or agree to a different shipping period with the buyer through Messages. Before you update your processing time for a specific order, you must first obtain your buyer’s consent.
E. Comply with all local and international shipping and customs regulations.
F. Ship to the address listed on the GetBorn receipt.
G. Mark the order as ‘In Transit’ when you ship it. Please note that an order can only be marked as shipped once it has been dispatched. As a seller, you are required to update the order status to 'In Transit' and furnish details including the carrier company information and tracking number. This information will then be relayed to the buyer.
H. By entering tracking information or delivery confirmation on GetBorn, you're giving us permission to collect and share this data received from your chosen shipping carrier with the buyer.
In the unlikely event an order does not arrive, be prepared to provide valid proof of shipping. Valid proof of shipping must show that the item was shipped and that it was sent to the address provided by the buyer on GetBorn. If a buyer does not receive their order, they may file a case against your shop.
As a Seller, you are expected to fulfill orders as promptly as possible, unless there is an unforeseen circumstance that prevents this. You should provide the buyer with a tracking number once the items have been shipped. If you cannot complete delivery due to such circumstances, GetBorn will contact the buyer.
Delivery is considered complete when the items are delivered to the address provided by the buyer during order placement.
